Hampden Farmers’ Market

Please join us in making the Hampden Farmers’ Market an integral part of the community. Become a Vendor! We are dedicated to supporting local businesses, non profit organizations, farmers, and residential gardeners or producers.
Vendor Responsibilities:
1.Vendors must submit an application form and receive an approval notice before selling at the market.
2.Vendors must obtain proper permits. (no permits are required for the sale of produce, plants, honey, maple syrup and eggs)
3.Vendors must provide all their own materials for setup.
4.Vendors may arrive up to 30 minutes before the opening of the Market for setup.
5.Vendors may only sell between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m..
6.Vendors must take all of their items with them at the end of the day, including trash.
7.Vendors may sell only products grown or produced in New England.
8.Prices must be clearly posted.
9.Products may be sold by the pound, bunch, piece or measured container.
10. Scales utilized at the market must be inspected and sealed by the Sealer of Weights annually.
11. The space that will be provided to a vendor is 10x10.
12. Grievances can be taken to one of the market managers (Karen or Judy) and if left unresolved will be taken to the steering committee.
13.In the event that both of the market managers are absent for a market day a substitute market manager will be appointed for that day.
14.Vendors must comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
